There is a frequent bus service during the day from the bus stop outside the rear entrance. The train and bus stations are approx 0.75 miles and there are a number of taxi companies operating in the area. More information and contact details can be found on our website.
Arrival And Car Parking Facilities
There is parking at the front (3 spaces) and rear of the property (3 spaces). Both areas are tarmac. Access from the front car park is via a level tarmac path whilst from the rear is through the garden and up a flight of concrete steps. The front door is approached up 3 steps, there is a handrail to the left hand side. Assistance with luggage can be provided if required.
Main Entrance And Reception
Entry through the front door is into a small porch, a second locked door allows entry to the main building into the hallway. Keys are provided for all doors. There is no formal reception area, check-in is carried out at a small table in the hallway. There is a call bell situated in the hall.
Public Areas - General (Internal)
The hall, stairs, landing, lounge and dining room are carpeted throughout. The lounge has a large TV with teletext and subtitles. To comply with fire regulations most doors throughout the building are self closing fire doors. All have lever type handles.
Public Areas - WC
The breakfast room is situated on the ground floor, a flight of steps lead down to it from the guest accommodation.
There is a handrail to one side and there are two grab handles toward the top.
The breakfast menu consists of cereals, fruit and fruit juice served ‘buffet style’ with hot food cooked to order. We provide Vegetarian and Vegan options and most other special diets can be catered for if we are notified at time of booking.

The garden is on a sloping plot and is divided into three levels the second of which is a patio area with tables and chairs. Access to the garden is via a small gate from the car park and down 8 concrete steps with a handrail to the left. A sloping concrete path leads to the rear car park and then out onto Roundham Road. There are a number of security lights (motion sensor) as well as timed garden floodlighting.
There are two double bedrooms on the first floor (entry level) and a double,twin and triple on the second floor. All have compact en-suites comprising of toilet, washbasin and shower. The showers are either electric or thermostatic mixers. Flooring is cushionfloor. All taps are either multiturn twist type or lever operated.
